This hotel is located in a prime position overlooking the Nile and close to the museum, in the heart of downtown Cairo. The large rooms are elegantly appointed to a good standard. Decoration is neutral and tasteful. The marbled bathrooms are kept in good condition, as are the bedrooms. The main restaurant is located on the mezzanine floor, partly overlooking the lobby. A good mix of international and local cuisine is served. The hotel has its own Chinese restaurant on the ground floor with views to the Nile. The building is a modern high-rise structure, and has become one of the landmark buildings on the skyline. The very large lobby and public areas are elegantly appointed with a very modern ambience. A coffee shop and 'tea garden' adjoin the public areas. This is a popular meeting point in Cairo for businessmen and tourists and therefore there is always a busy atmosphere. The hotel also has a casino in the building which is extremely popular with tourists.
