Located in the city centre on Hobson Street, two blocks from Queen Street shopping Centre, a ten minute walk to the Waitemata Harbour and Viaduct harbour area which was previously the America's Cup Village. Rooms are beautifully appointed, with all modern facilities but with old world charm, high ceilings, and classic interiors. Tower rooms are more contemporary, blending French inspired antique designs with contrasting modern furnishings. An award winning restaurant off the Lobby, Hectors, set in the hotel's 7 storey atrium, canopied with palm trees and shade cloth, specialising in Pacific Rim cuisine. In the Tower there is a modern restaurant on the level above lobby. An historic Art Deco building, formerly a department store, beautifully restored. The adjoining tower is more contemporary. The main Lobby is beautifully renovated, very pleasing to the eye, especially for those who enjoy 'old world' charming hotels. The tower lobby is contemporary, but equally nice. Excellent facilities include indoor and roof top outdoor swimming pools, a tennis court, sauna and gym.
